My new pal Ballerina, a fellow bookworm, came up with this 35 day diet and I’m going to do it. June 1st-July 5th. A perfect way to work in some summer reading and to tune up that summer bod.

Yes, my dears, the Book Diet.
Lately I’ve realized that I can waste away a whole day reading…and not think about eating ONCE. I don’t know why I’ve just noticed this recently, but I have. So, I made up this random-oh diet that is just, like, six other diets put together.
The book diet will run from…June first to July fifth. Giving you time to fine tune that beach bod or, get a late start on having a beach bod to fine tune.
Only requirements;
*Read at least ONE book a week. Yes, a week. Sorry if you read slow d:
*Follow the eating plan (or replace foods you don’t like with food you do, as long as they don’t boost your cals up to 600 or more [exception; days fourteen and twenty-eight])
*Keep up with the topic. Don’t disappear on us.
*Burn at LEAST 100 more calories than you take in (exception; days one and two.)
Days One and Two;
Sorry guys, we’re starting off with a fast. Yes, I am that cruel d: So, this is a tea fast. Drink as much as tea as you want, preferably an herbal tea specifically for cleansing the body. If you don’t like tea, try a water fast. Relax these first couple of days. No exercise. Just meditate, go for a walk if you want, DO NOT RUN!!, take bubble baths, listen to music.
Days Three -Seven; Finish first book.
Eat soft foods. Baby foods; Protein Shakes; Soups, broths, and yogurts; Raw fruits and veggies. Eat lots of green leafyness. Take in less than 400 calories.
Days Seven-Fourteen; Finish second book.
Ease yourself back into solid foods. Eat lotsa greens. Allow yourself a small peice of broiled fish or chicken by the ninth day. A small peice of beef by the eleventh. Eat soups and veggies and fruits too. No more than 300-600 calories.
Days Fourteen and Fifteen;
Time to shock the FUCK out of your metabolism. This is gonna be hard for some of you, but binge on the fourteenth day. Take in no less than 600-800 calories. Try to avoid too many fat calories, and just eat a shit load of fruits and dairy. Fifteenth day is another tea fast day. Like I said, this will confuse the hell out of your metabolism and make it speed up.
Days Sixteen and Seventeen;
Brown rice and rice cereals. Unsweetened. As much fruit as you want. Avoid bananas and, yes, veggies (I know right!). Less than 600 calories.
Days Eighteen and Nineteen;
Whole wheat pastas and cereals. As many veggies as you want, avoid potatoes and fruit. Less than 500 calories.
Days Twenty and Twenty-one; Finish third book.
Liquids only. Broths, teas, water, coffee, juices. DO NOT drink orange or tomato juices. They’re too acidic on your stomach! No more than 400 cals.
Days Twenty-two-Twenty-seven;
These are our cleansing days…again. Tea and water only. Raw fruits and veggies only. Broiled chicken and fish only. No more than 500 cals a day.
Day Twenty-eight; Finish fourth book.
Free day. Eat as many calories as you want, exercise as much as you want, read as much as you want. Just have one on the house. Your hard work is being rewarded.
Days Twenty-nine-Thirty-three;
Repeat days fifteen-nineteen. Do. Not. Repeat. Day. Fourteen. No binging!!
July fourth;
Party like it’s 1999!! But, keep in mind you cannot have more than 600 calories. This keeps you from equating food with holidays. Just because it’s a holiday, doesn’t mean you can gourge yourself.
Day Thirty-five; Finish last book.
Tea fast…what a horrible way to end this diet d: Too bad, tea fast day. Repeat day one and relax. Be proud of yourself for completing this diet, and congratulate yourself, babe!!
